One of Udupi’s less important known places of attention is the coin museum, which is taken care by the Corporation Bank.

Coin Museum comprises of the 3 small room museum which showcase all the notes and the coins, both from the present and the past. Though it contains lots of notes and coins from India, it also has few foreign currencies. Historical coins from the great past are really very interesting.

You don’t have to pay anything for entry at Coin Museum Udupi. It is open between 10 AM and 5PM on working days except bank holidays.

The Location

Corporation Bank coin museum distance is around 300 meters from Udupi bus stand, so one can even walk across. You need to follow the google maps and you can reach easily. In case you are on your own vehicle then parking is difficult – If you are lucky then nearby corporation bank office has its own car parking space you can park there.

In this museum, one may find a wide variety of swords, kitchen utensils, statues, statues made of bronze, nickel, and other alloys, paintings, idols of Gods, etc.

St. Aloysius Museum: The Aloyseum is another name for the St. Aloysius Museum. Fr. Chiapi, an Italian Jesuit priest, founded it in 1913. He began the museum with a collection of minerals, a herbarium, and Roman coins that were truly a gift from Italy. The main hall and five side halls make up the museum today.
